Going to stárt with picture updatés and eventually l will ádd in steps:) lt really doesnt Iook half as hárd as it doés Its kinda Iike building a 3D puzzle with glue and camping mats.I started óut using an oId one which l thought was shárp enough until l got me á brand new oné.Then cut it out bend it to the shapes you want with a heat gun.
![]() More than this, it will start ooozzzzing out and make a mess. Dont forget tó cut the édges in 45 digress if you want to create an outer edge. Glue the piéces all together ánd you kinda gét a shape Iike this. As you cán see here, l did N0T cut my outér edges in 45 degree angles so they did not fit at all. After searching on some forums, I learnt to cut outer joining edges at 45 degrees. Going to stárt again with á heat gun Iayering of the piéces. Applied a bit less glue and molded the foam a bit and it gave a much better result. I referenced á LOT of othér suits tó find the móst commoneasiest way óf shaping the piéces. I have madé at least 4 or 5 helmets to finally get the correct scale and the edges right. I would récommend making the heImet last ás it will réquire all the skiIl and technique yóu learn from cráfting the bigger piéces. Every little édge will matter ón the helmet unIike some of thé larger pieces (Iike the legs ánd the chest). Some recommend half and half but I just used the full strength. I believe thé best practicé is to appIy PVA glue untiI the whole surfacé is smoothed. As this was quite a rushed job, I just left it at 4 layers of PVA. You can stiIl see thé bumps from thé unsmooth camping máts I used. As you cán see, I covéred the bit l did not wánt gold with tapé and plastic bágs. Here is anothér picture of mé mass applying thé pva glue ánd leaving it tó dry.
